As of the 1st December 2021, a person who is registered as a Conveyancer under the Conveyancers Act 1994 (SA) has been added to the Oaths Act 1936 (SA) as an Authorised Witness. This means Registered Conveyancers can now be a witness to statutory declarations.
This is wonderful news for our profession and a long time coming. We are thankful to the Australian Institute of Conveyancers SA for their advocacy on our behalf with the State Government.
