An ability to put stressful situations into perspective
After studying business and administration in legal services, Lisa began employed life as a legal secretary at a large Adelaide law firm in 2003. A few years later, the lure of working (and travelling) overseas saw her move to London. Here, she worked in an even larger law firm. Lisa then returned to Adelaide in 2009, married and started a family. The next phase of Lisa’s life saw her become a wife and mother. In between children, she continued her legal secretary roles. In 2015, Lisa began working part time for a conveyancing firm, where she worked until accepting her current position with Smart Conveyancing in May 2019.
“I’m a confident, good humoured person who has the ability to put stressful situations into perspective, and create a fun work environment. It helps that I’m extremely organised… actually, make that OCD organised – you have to be in conveyancing. I’m often the first point of contact, so I always try to be as helpful as I can; I’m across most things and am comfortable with my conveyancing knowledge, so quite often I’m able to help clients directly. We have such a positive, team-oriented work environment; like-minded people who respect each other, and inspire others to be their best. It makes work enjoyable.”
